  2.  THE KEYS OF MARINUS.   Written by Terry Nation.   6 Episodes.

  8.  COMPANIONS:- Ian, Barbara and Susan.
  9.  
  10.    The TARDIS lands on an island on the planet Marinus where the sea is 
  11.  acid and the sand is made of glass. The TARDIS is captured by Arbitan,
  12.  Keeper of the Conscience Machine of Marinus, a machine that controls the
  13.  planet, preventing crime. 
  14.    Four of the five control keys for the machine are lost and Arbitan
  15.  "persuades" the TARDIS crew to hunt for them using travel dials: wrist-
  16.  watch like personal transportation systems. The travellers go to the
  17.  futuristic city of Millenius, an icy wilderness, a jungle and the night-
  18.  mare city of Metamorphon. 
  19.    Upon their return the travellers find Arbitan dead, murdered by the 
  20.  leader of the Voords who now control the island. Ian is forced to hand over
  21.  the keys but one is a fake, which causes the Machine to explode, destroying
  22.  the Voords and itself and freeing the people of Marinus.
